Yangon's first Christmas market was held from 23 to 25 December 2017. The road-long christmas market was filled with food vendors and stage performances. Well-known Myanmar singers like Chit Thu Wai and Chan Chan drew big crowds. We squeezed tightly beside each other and humming to the songs together.
Bogyoke Road was blocked off starting from Junction City traffic light to St Mary's Cathedral. St Mary's Cathedral, the biggest church in Yangon was also filled with fun activities such as Karaoke Sessions, Group Dances, Face Paintings, etc. The night was filled with laughter and communion. An experience we will never forget.
